For the first one go -2 back, then go 5/6th of the way to -3. For the next one, convert to a mixed fraction by dividing the numerator as many times as possible by the denominator, putting the result as the whole number off to the left, then put the remainder as the numerator and keep the same denominator.

The number line of the given expression would be explained in the attached image above.

What is a number line?

Number line can be defined as the graphical representation of negative and positive real numbers.

The given expression;

= -2⅚. This is first converted to a whole number before being plotted.

That is; -2⅚ = -2.83 = -3( nearest whole number)

Given also that 7/3 = 2.3 = 2(to the nearest whole number.

Therefore the graphical representation of -3 and 2 can be seen in the figure attached above.
