So, the total expenses for x newsletters = 0.90 x + 600,

Total revenue after selling x newsletter = 1.50 x

To break even,

Total Revenue = Total expenses

⇒ 1.50x = 0.90x + 600

⇒ 0.60 x = 600 ( Subtract 0.90x both sides )

x = 1000 ( Divide both sides by 0.60 )

Hence, 1000 newsletter must be sold to break even.
