Solve algebraically for X: 3(x+1)-5x=12-(6x-7)

3x+3-5x=12-6x+7
-2x+3=-6x+19
Subtract 3 from both sides.
-2x=-6x+16
Then move the -6x over.
4x=16
Divide by 4 on both sides.
x=4
