Oscar is 16 years old and his sister Julia is 12 years old. What will be the rato of Oscars age to Julia's age in 2 years? Write as a fraction in simplest form.

the question is asking for it in simplest form, so we need to find the GCF of 18 and 14. The GCF of these numbers is two, so divide them both by 2. Your final ratio will be this: 9:7.

the question also wants it to be in fraction form, so to do this is very simple, just switch 9:7 into

You can divide both numbers by 2 and then get the reduced fraction of 9/7
