Danny is installing a fence around his rectangular yard. His yard is 20 feet long by 45 feet wide. If the fencing he picked out costs $25 per foot, how much money will Danny spend on the fence?

We need to find the total perimeter first by adding all sides:

20 + 20 + 45 + 45 = 130 feet

Then we need to cross multiply to find the cost:

If 1 foot = 25 $
130 feet = X $

130 * 25 = 3250$ total

Hope this is clear and helpful

Hey there!!

Basic formula :

Perimeter = 2 ( length + breadth )

Length = 20 ft

Breadth = 45 ft

2 ( 20 + 45 )

2 ( 65 )

= 130 ft

Given :

1 ft = $25

130 ft = 25 × 130

= $3250

The required answer is $3250

Hope my answer helps!
