To solve this first combine all like terms.

11x+2x=13x

4+51+8=63

13x+63=180

Subtract 63 from both sides.

13x+63-63=180-63

13x=117

Divide both sides by 13 for x.

(13x)/(13)=
(117)/(13)

x=9

The answer or the solution to the equation is 9.

Hi,

Work:

Equation;

11x + 4 + 51 + 2x + 8 = 180

Collect like terms and calculate sum of positive numbers.

13x + 63 = 180

Move constant +63 to the right side and change its sign.

13x = 180 - 63

Subtract numbers.

13x = 117

Divide both sides of equation with 13.

x = 9

Hope this helps.
