Why could the mean of the data set below be misleading? 10 points! <3

Ages of Teachers: 29, 38, 39, 26, 29, 29, 39, 77, 38, 29

The mean or average of the data set would be misleading because there is an outlier, meaning that one of the numbers is either significantly lower or higher than the rest. That can be seen here because of the number 77.

Mean with ALL numbers : 35.3

Mean with all EXCEPT outlier : 27.6

the mean can be misleading, because there outlier (77), which is not close to the ages of the others, thereby changing the mean drastically.

hope this helps
