6x = 3/8 Divide by 6

x = 3/8 // 6

Solution


\text{x=}((3)/(8))/(6) \Rightarrow ((3)/(8))/((6)/(1)) The 1 has been added to the 6 so you can more easily do the next step.

The next step is to take the 6/1 and turn it upside down. When you do that, and multiply there should be some cancellation taking place.
