Exponential function:

Exponential function is function in which any exponent as variable raised over a constant

For exp:

f(x)=(0.2)^x

f(x)=(7)^x

f(x)=(e)^x

here , 0.2 , 7 and e are constants

Power function:

Power function is function in which any exponent as constant raised over a variable

For exp:

f(x)=x^2

f(x)=x^(1.2)

f(x)=x^(-7)
