If the first writer types 50 words per minute for 12 minutes, we tipes


50 \frac{\text{words}}{\text{minute}} * 12 \text{ minutes} = 50* 12 \text{ words} = 600 \text{ words}

The second writer types the same amount of words at 60 words per minute, so it will take her


\frac{600 \text{ words}}{60\frac{\text{words}}{\text{minute}}} = 10\text{ minutes}

Luis: 50 words per minute x 12 minutes = 600 words

Miss: 60 words per minute x _____minutes

Miss = Luis

60x = 600


(60)/(60)x =
(600)/(60)

x = 10

Answer: 10 minutes
