The use of wetland in woodland of the ecoregions and coastee wetlands could reduce the rate of erosion by wave along the coastline as vegetation prevent surface runoff by wave erosion and rain erosion. It can be served as a soft strategy of coastline management and protection.
The wetlands also favors the growth of the ecosystem as it might become habitat for animals,providing food resources and shelter for them. It could protect the environment or even serve as a tourist spot.
This also explain why the loss might result of property damage as wetlands have very high ecological value.
