False. While with Hepatitis B it can be found in breast milk, it’s very uncommon for the baby to get it and breast feeding is considered safe from the start. Usually if a mother has Hepatitis, the baby is exposed during birth. However, if a mother has Hepatitis C and has cracked/bleeding nipples it’s recommended she temporarily stops nursing as Hep C is spread through blood.

False, Hepatitis B and C are passes through the blood or semen. Unless the mother has cracked or bleeding nipples there is no worry when feeding the infant.
