it would help to, rather than only the answer, an explanation because I'm not exactly sure how to go about this particular question. it would help to have reference for the future.

The answer is Mad went at 14.5 MPH

First you have to multiply Jethro's MPH by 24-hours 24×17=408

Then you subtract how much farther Jethro went 408-60=348

Last of all you divide the distance by the time 348÷24=14.5

That is how you get the answer
