we are given

f(x)=x^7

Horizontal Compression:

Suppose, we want to compress a function f(x) horizontally by 'a' units

so, we can replace x as ax

f(x)---->f(ax)

Here, it is compressed horizontally by 4 units

so, we can replace x as 4x

so, we get

f(4x)=(4x)^7

so,

r(x)=(4x)^7.............Answer
