  2. You must apply the Pythagorean Theorem to calculate the heigth
    x of the mast, where the hypotenuse is
    48 ft and one leg is
    26 ft. Therefore, you must solve for the other leg, which is the height
    x:


x=\sqrt{(48ft)^(2)-(26ft)^(2) } \\ x=40.34 ft

Therefore, the answer is:
