Why were colonists so hostile to the new taxes the British imposed on them after the Indian and French war?

They were hostile, because they felt they were not responsible for the British's debt. As they didn't have the same privileges, as the other British citizens. Ex: The colonists weren't allowed to vote. They saw no reason why they'd should pay it.
