The answer is 3 because to find the square root you must find a number that you can multiply by itself to get that number so 3 x 3 = 9 and
3^(2) = 9

It is 3. Because a square root is anything times itself to make an answer. For example:

3 * 3 = 9 \\ so \\ √(9 ) = 3
