Answer:

x = 4 and y = -5 is the solution of the system of equations

Explanation:

The system of equations has been given as

-2x + 6y = - 38

We divide this equation by 2

-x + 3y = - 19 ----------(1)

3x - 4y = 32 ----------(2)

We multiply the equation 1 by 3 add to equation 2

3(-x + 3y) + (3x - 4y ) = - 57 + 32

-3x + 9y + 3x - 4y = - 25

5y = -25

y = -5

Now we replace y = -5 in equation 1

-x + 3×(-5) = -19

-x - 15 = -19

-x = -19 + 15 = -4

x = 4

Therefore, x = 4 and y = -5 is the solution of the system of equations.
