(1)/(6) + (3)/(8)

There are two fraction ls with different denominators.To make the denominators same multiply and divide by 8 in ( 1 ÷ 6 ) and by 6 in ( 3 ÷ 8 )

( (1 * 8)/(6 * 8) ) + ( (3 * 6)/(8 * 6) ) \\ \\ \\ \\ (8)/(48) + (18)/(48)

Now both they denominators are same , so we can easily add 8 and 18 ,

(8 + 18)/(48) \\ \\ \\ \\ (26)/(48) \\ \\ \\ \\ (13)/(24)
