we are given

y=(2x+4a)/(6b)

we can solve for a

We will isolate 'a' on anyone side

step-1:

multiply both sides by 6b

6b*y=6b*(2x+4a)/(6b)

6by=2x+4a

step-2: Subtract both sides by 2x

6by-2x=2x+4a-2x

6by-2x=4a

step-3: Divide both sides by 4

(6by-2x)/(4) =(4a)/(4)

(6by-2x)/(4) =a

(2(3by-x))/(4) =a

((3by-x))/(2) =a

so, we get

a=((3by-x))/(2)..............Answer
