First, the man who lives in the sky world is pressured to gather roots from the Great Tree, a Forbidden tree, by his pregnant wife who wants something to eat, but the man chickens out when he digs a hole in the sky.

Then, the woman decides to take the matter in her own hands and craving for something to eat and also full of curiosity, she decides to dig out the roots of the Great Tree and falls out from the sky and lands onto the back of a great sea turtle.

Then, the woman gives birth to a daughter. They live together cut off from the father on the skies. One day one strange man appeared in front of the daughter and she fainted, when she woke up two arrows were crossing her body, one blunt and the other sharp, after a while the daughter was pregnant.

Then, the daughter of the woman was pregnant of two sons, twins, the right-handed son who was consistent with what he said and did, and the left-handed son who was the opposite and he ended killing her mother at birth because he decided to be born out of the opposite side. The left-handed son was the favorite of the grandmother.

Then, the twins were always fighting to see who the strongest one was, but they were equally strong, so they decided that the day would be for the right-handed twin and the night for the left-handed one. They were opposite to each other but at the same time they created the needed balance. They created the mankind and they were happy with it.

Lastly, the right-handed twin killed his brother and his grandmother was very angry but still loved and helped his only grandson.

It is quite interesting to see how similar this Iroquois legend resembles the catholic creation of the mankind and Cain and Abe.
