Answer : The melting point of copper metal in Kelvin is, 1358 K

Explanation :

The conversion used for the temperature from degree Celsius to Kelvin is:

K=273+^oC

where,

K = temperature in Kelvin

^oC = temperature in centigrade

As we are given the melting point of copper metal in degree Celsius that is,
1085^oC. Now we have to convert it into Kelvin.

K=273+^oC

K=273+1085

K=1358

Therefore, the melting point of copper metal in Kelvin is, 1358 K

An arithmetical operator used for converting a quantity expressed in a set of unit into an equivalent in another set of units are known as conversion factor.

The conversion of temperature from degree Celsius to Kelvin is given as:

K = ^(o)C+ 273.15 -(1)

The melting point of copper metal =
1085^(o)C (given)

Substituting the value in formula (1):

K = 1085^(o)C+273.15

K = 1358.15 K

Hence, the melting point of copper metal in kelvin is
1358.15 K.
