A topographic map shows the natural and man-made features on the earth's surface. This is done by symbols to represent houses, roads, etc and contour lines to show the the height and steepness of a landform such as hills, mountains and valleys.

ANSWER:

The major difference between a 'topographic map' and other maps is that a topographic map shows the features that may be natural or man made.

Step-by-step explanation:

  • The topographic map shows the houses, hotel, roads etc. the map marks the important checkpoints the path or the road, and the parks and bridges.
  • These are the difference otherwise the mapping style is same in all the maps. Topographic map uses different symbol systems to show all those features.
