y-intercept is equal the value of function for x = 0.

Put x = 0 to the equation y + 4 = (x + 2)²

y + 4 = (0 + 2)²

y + 4 = 2²

y + 4 = 4 |-4

y = 0

Answer: y-intercept = 0 → (0, 0)
