as you already know, the area of a rectangle is just length*width, so is just the product of those two.

\bf \cfrac{8}{15}* \cfrac{1}{6}\implies \cfrac{8}{6}* \cfrac{1}{15}\implies \cfrac{4}{3}* \cfrac{1}{15}\implies \cfrac{4}{45}

Answer:

Area of rectangular holding pond is:

0.088 mile²

Explanation:

We have to find the area of a rectangular holding pond with length 8/15 mile and width 1/6 mile

We know that area of rectangle= Length × width

So, Area of a rectangular holding pond =
(8)/(15)* (1)/(6)

= 0.088 mile²

Hence, Area of rectangular holding pond is:

0.088 mile²
