Number of Laps ran by Max on the track =24 laps

Number of Laps ran by Jack on the track

=24 * (3)/(4)\\\\=6 * 3\\\\=18 \text{lap}

1 lap =400 meter

24 lap =24 × 400=9,600 meter

18 lap=18 × 400=7,200 meter

\rightarrow\frac{\text{Max}}{\text{Jack}}= (24)/(18)\\\\(M)/(J)=(4)/(3)

we are given

Max ran 24 laps around the track

so,

M=24

now, we have

Jack ran three-fourths as many laps as Max did

so,

J=(3)/(4)*M

now, we can plug values

J=(3)/(4)*24

J=18

now, we can find ratios

(M)/(J) =(24)/(18)

now, we can simplify it

and we get

(M)/(J) =(4)/(3)..............Answer
