They have to multiply the amount of people by 5 because 60÷12=5 meaning you'll have to do the same to the 4 which will make it 20 potatoes. Hope this helps! :)

4 potatoes serve a party of 12

Divide 12 with 4

12/4 = 3

1 potato serves 3 people.

There are 60 people.

Divide 60 with 3

60/3 = 20

20 potatoes are needed to serve 60 people.

hope this helps
