Why won't you find plant life in the aphotic zone?

In aphotic zones there is less than 1% sunlight since it is very deep in the ocean, most plants wouldn't be able to grow since they wouldn't have the resources.

No sunlight, up to a kilometre away from the surface, the temperature and pressure becomes too unsuitable organisms to survive. This is a minor factor compared to the lack of light. Hence, we won't find plant in aphotic zone.
