Graph:

x - y^2 = 6

Solution:

Parabola with Vertex at ( h, k ) = ( 6, 0 ), and Focal Length | p | = 1 / 4

Steps:

x - y^2 = 6

Parabola standard equation:

4p ( x - h ) = ( y - k )^2 is the standard equation for a right - Left facing parabola with vertex at ( h, k ) and a focal length of | p |

Rewrite:

x - y^2 = 6

Standard Form:

4 * 1 / 4 ( x - 6 ) = ( y - 0 )^2

Therefore, Parabola properties are:

( h, k ) = ( 6, 0 ), p = 1 / 4

Hope that helps!!!! : )
