The function P(x) = 0.9x - 100 models the relationship between the number of pretzels x that a certain vendor sells and the profit the vendor makes. Find P(700), the profit the vendor makes from selling 700 pretzels.

we are given

The function models the relationship between the number of pretzels x that a certain vendor sells and the profit the vendor makes

P(x)=0.9x-100

here

P(x) is profit

we have to find P(700)

so, we can plug x=700 into P(x)

we get

P(700)=0.9*700-100

P(700)=630-100

P(700)=530

so,

the profit the vendor makes from selling 700 pretzels is $530.........Answer
