Sadly no, it is incorrect.

First step is to subtract '5p' from both sides. Then you must simplify 8p + 4 - 5p to 3p+4. Now you have to subtract 4 from both sides. Then simplify -14 - 4 to -18. After that step you divide both sides by -3 (which is -18/3). Simplify the fraction to a whole number which is 6. Add the format (-6 = p), but don't forget to flip!

Your answer is p = -6.
