No, because a rational number is something that expresses a quotion or fraction

√3 is not rational, it is rather irrational because 3 is not a square root and it can't be simplified as a normal number. Such as √4 can be simplified to 2 which makes it rational. Summarizing, √3 is irrational because it is not a direct square root.
