For the function
y=√(x) the domain is
x\ge 0.

Consider function
y=√(5-x).

The expression under the root should be greater or equal to zero:

5-x\ge 0,\\-x\ge -5,\\x\le 5.

Answer: the domain of the function
y=√(5-x) is
x\le 5.
