(710 - 40) : 2 = 335$ (washer)
335 + 40 = 375 (dryer)

you have to set up an equation! x being the dryer and x-40 being the washer because it’s 40$ less, and it’s x+(x-40)=710 because both combined are 710$! and then you just solve!
