Complementary: two angles (in this case just 2) add up to 90.

Let the smaller one = x

2x + 6 + x = 90

3x + 6 = 90

3x = 90 - 6

3x = 84

x = 28

The small angle = 28

The large angle = 90 - 28 = 62
