If a car travels at a speed of 45mi/h for t hours, then travels 15mi/h fro m hours, what does the expression 45t+15m represent?

A)total number of hours traveled by the car
B) average mi/h
C) total distance traveled by the car
D) total speed

m + t would represent the total number of hours. A is incorrect.

If you use m+ t and 45t + 15m together you could get the average speed.

C is correct rate * time = distance

B and D are both incorrect for the same reason.
