Note that slope formula is: (y₂ - y₁)/(x₂ - x₁) = slope

For the first one, set:

(x₁ , y₁) = (-3, 2)

(x₂ , y₂) = (3, -2)

Plug in and solve: (-2 - 2)/(3 - (-3) = -4/6

Simplify: -4/6 = -2/3

-2/3 is your answer

Do the same for the next question

(y₂ - y₁)/(x₂ - x₁) = slope

(x₁ , y₁) = (-8, -3)

(x₂ , y₂) = (-4, 0)

(0 - (-3))/(-4 - (-8))

Simplify. Note that two negatives = one positive

(0 - (-3))/(-4 - (-8)) = (0 + 3)/(-4 + 8) = 3/4

3/4 is your answer

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

hope this helps
