lets look at this

8 6

12 9

first notice that 4 is half of 8 and 3 is half of 6 you also notice that if you add four to eight you get twelve and if you add three to six you get nine this rule follows all the way to the bottom and if you keep going the rule will stay the same now you realize all you have to do is add four to 16 (still following that rule) 16 + 4 = 20, 20 is your answer

Let's take a look at the numbers running down the left. They are increasing by how much?

Take a look at the numbers running down the right. They are increasing by how much?

Our carpets continue to have the ratio of 4:3.

Because these two columns (L & W) are increasing by the same rate for each carpet piece, we say they have the same ratio of L to W.

The missing piece has to be 20 by 15 (a ratio of 4:3)
