When you have

4x=(2)/(5)

you can solve the equation by multiplying both sides by 1/4. Then simplify.

4x\cdot(1)/(4)=(2)/(5)\cdot(1)/(4)\\\\x\cdot(4)/(4)=(2\cdot 1)/(5\cdot 4)\\\\x=(2)/(20)=(1)/(10)
