Which of the following is an example of third person objective point of view? I love running outside in the rain.

Destiny chose to take art instead of music because she enjoyed art more.
Jake hastily made the decision to leave his umbrella by the door instead of taking it with him. This would prove a poor choice.
You should always listen to your mother's advice.

Third person point of view is when the narrator is outside of the story. There are only third person pronouns (he, she, it , they) and names used. First person point of view is when the narrator is in the story. There are many first person pronouns used (I, me, my) such as in option A. Second person point of view is written as though the speaker is talking directly to the reader and giving directions. There are many second person pronouns used (You, your) such as in option D. Objective point of view means that the narrator keeps his or her commentary out of the narration. This only happens in option B. In Option C the narrator includes his/her thoughts when he/she says that leaving the umbrella "would prove a poor choice."

The third-person objective uses a narrator who tells a story by giving an objective or an unbiased point of view. It does not describe any character's thoughts, or feelings and usually uses third-person pronouns such as he, she, and they.
