Xylem

. Xylem tissues are tubular shaped structure, with the absence of cross walls. This tissue resembles the shape of star

Xylem occupies the center of vascular bundle

Xylem fibers are smaller

They are present in leaves , stem , and roots

Theses tissues move in a unidirectional

They live with hollow dead cells.

The total amount of xylem tissue is more.

Transport soluble mineral nutrients and water molecules from the roots to the aerial parts of the plant

forms vascular bundles with phloem.

Provides mechanical strength to plant and helps in strengthening of the stem

It is responsible for replacing the total amount of lost water molecules through transpiration and photosynthesis.

Phloem

Phloem tissues are elongated, tubular

Shaped structure that include thin sieve tubes with walls.

Phloem is located on the outer side of the vascular bundle.

Phloem fibers are larger

They are present in leaves , stem but transport and grow in fruit seeds and roots.

These tissues are move in bidirectional

They live with cytoplasm without the nucleus.

The total amount of phloem tissues is less.

Transport food and other nutrients including sugar and amino acid from leaves to storage organs and growing parts of the plant

Forms vascular bundles with xylem

It is responsible for transporting proteins and mRNAs throughout the plant. It is responsible for transporting proteins and mRNA

Through out the plant
