Oh how I sought it out like a fortune
Wondering how far it is in the ocean
Feeling the regret and guilt across my face
Such a bitter feeling it was on that day
I knew not what to do in time
Except standing by would be a crime
Tasting my defeat is such a fate
Listening as though it was all hate
So now I know how hard I try
Weeping so much throughout night
I put this away for a good while
Long enough to walk a mile
