4x+1-5x=5-(x+4)

Do the parenthesis first which’s

4x+1-5x=-5x-20

Now we have to combine the like terms

Which’s -x+1=-5x-20

Now we have to put the x together

-x+1=-5x-20

-x. -x

1=4x-20

Also we need to put the x by itself so we will add 20 to both sides

1=4x-20

+20 +20

Which is 21=4x

Now we have to divide the both sides by 4 to get the x by itself

21/4=4x/4

So the answer will be 21/4=x
