1.) Distribution 0.3(x-5) = 0.3x-1.5
2.) Combine like terms 0.2x and -2.1x ; -1.5 and 0.2
-1.9x + 3.1 = 0.3x -1.3
3.) Add 1.3 to both sides
-1.9x + 4.4 = 0.3x
4.) Add 1.9x to both sides
4.4 = 2.2x
5.) Divide both sides by 2.2 to isolate the variable.
x=2
