Remember the area equation:

Area = base x height (or width x length)

The area is 120, and the width is 12

Solve for length (L)

120 = 12L is your equation

Isolate the L. Divide 12 from both sides

(120)/12 = (12L)/12

L = 120/12

L = 10

10 meters is your answer

hope this helps
