A bookshelf is about 9.3*10^-2 meters thick. A bookshelf is about 1.865*10^1 meters long. About how many copies of this book will fit on the bookshelf? I need the answer really fast and by the way the answer is not 20 books I'll give them a brain list if they answer it.

For this case, the first thing we must do is define variables.

We have then:

x: length of the bookshelf

y: thickness of each book

The equation for the number of books is:

N = (x)/(y)

Substituting values we have:

N = (1.865 * 10 ^ 1)/(9.3*10^(-2))

Doing the calculation we have:

N = 200

Answer:

200 copies of this book will fit on the bookshelf
