Just substitute 3 for every X value (3)^4+2(3)^2-1 it will give you 98

For this case we have the following function:

f (x) = x ^ 4 + 2x ^ 2-1

What we must do is evaluate the value of x = 3 in the given function.

We have then:

f (3) = (3) ^ 4 + 2 (3) ^ 2-1

Then, Rewriting the function we have:

f (3) = (3) ^ 4 + 2 (3) ^ 2-1

f (3) = 81 + 18-1

f (3) = 98

Answer:

The value of the function evaluated for x = 3 is given by:

f (3) = 98
