Supplier B would cost $625 more than supplier A.

A = 4125

B = 4750

4750 - 4125 = 625

For this case, the first thing we must do is define a variable.

We have then:

x: number of bushels of grain each week

y: total cost

So, for supplier A we have:

y = 5.25x + 3x

Evaluating for x = 500 we have:

y = 5.25 (500) + 3 (500)

y = 4125

For supplier B we have:

y = 6.50x + 1500

Evaluating for x = 500 we have:

y = 6.50 (500) + 1500

y = 4750

We note that the cost of supplier B is higher.

Then, the difference in the cost of both suppliers is:

4750 - 4125 = 625

Answer:

Supplier B would cost $ 625 more than A
