Since the line is parallel to 2x + 3y = 4, it means that it have the same gradient.
2x + 3y = 4
3y = 4 - 2x

y = (4)/(3) - (2)/(3) x
So the gradient =

- (2)/(3)
The equation of the line that is parallel to 2x + 3y = 4,

y = - (2)/(3) x + c

- 4 = - (2)/(3) (1) + c

c \: = - (10)/(3)

y = - (2)/(3) x - (10)/(3)
Ans: 3y = - 2x - 10
