you need to distibute the negative but remeber when you are dealing with an equation like this you need to remeber that the negative in front of the parenthasis is -1 there is always an imaginary 1. So once you distribue the negative you would get -m-4n+12 as your answer when its two negatives multiplying together it is a postitive number.
